I had a puppy with parvo and thank God for the vets that we took her to. They said that if we would've waited another day, the puppy would've died. You HAVE to take the dog to a vet and they'll determine whether or not the dog will live. Our dog had to spend a couple of days at the vets hospital. Thank God, to this day, she' still livin'. This happened to her 5 years ago. A dog WILL die from parvo. So, if you suspect that your dog has parvo, you better take it to a vet. There's no way of beating it.

Has the dog been diagnosed by a Vet? If the answer is yes, then the Vet can advise you, however, the best thing I've found is kayopectate to help halt the runny stool, and feed them Gerbers chicken food or lamb food. Keep the pup warm and CLEAN(get lots of newspapers), do NOT let any other dogs near it. Wash your hands after you treat it. Your Vet can give you antibiotics to give the pup, and also a ringers solution that you inject under the skin to help with dehydration. The important thing is keeping the loose bowels down to a dull roar, also check any vomit for blood. If the pup is sitting hunched over, you have to take it to the VET NOW, don't wait until morning, I can guarentee you won't have a dog alive by then. If the pup survives 2 or 3 days it MAY just make it, but watch out for swelling of the joints, which can indicate e-coli infection. IF the pup makes it, it can take months to really be 'normal' again. Good Luck and keep me posted.

IV feeding by a vet to keep them hydrated, what ever you don't do vaccinate a sick pup you will kill it, the disease seems to get around on shoes a lot a can of Lysol wouldn't hurt, properly vaccinated dogs dint get parvo use intervets progard dpv at 5 weeks an at 7 weeks use intervets dpv or 5 or 7 do not vaccinate any puppy with a vaccine carrying the corona virus as this will cancel out the parvo vaccine, Dr Schultz at uw Wisconsin Madison school of vet science is top expert in the field
