Oh of course. And then he will send a check in an envelope addressed to "Owner of said car"?

When you are in an accident, you exchange information, insurance information, so the two companies can communicate. You also give you name, address and license information, again so the insurance companies will be able to communicate.

You call your insurance and give them his information so they will know what's going on when his insurance company calls them.

Why would you not think this is cool? Have you ever read the "What to do in case of an accident" things your insurance keeps giving you?

Have an accident report prepared and have his insurance company pay for the damages. Most insurance companies consider their driver's to be 100% not at fault in only 2 instances: vehicle was parked and when you are struck in the rear.

If it was in a parking lot and not on the street the police will not do much since it was on private property. You need to exchange information and if he is admitting fault you should be okay. Call his insurance asap and file a claim and youll get your money

yes by law you have to give him your insurance unless you say that you cant find out who hit your car then you would have to get the company you work for to pay you and this would include a report from the local police on the day it happend but sounds to late for that
