I have never seen them attack Atomic theory even though no one to this date has ever had a clear picture of an atom.

What about string theory? No one has "proved" that one yet.

and dont get me started on Quantum mechanics. Physicists are still fighting over that.

So why not fight these as well?

why only Evolution and the Big Bang?

-the point was if Evolution should not be taught because it is only a theiory then the same gose for other theiories. By picking and choseing which ones you dont like only shows your intelectual dishonesty

Oh and to all those that said Evolution contradicts the idea of a Creator, please tell me how. Evolution only explains how life developed. Not why or what caused it.

The answer is simple really. Does Atomic theory contradict what the Bible has said or the String theory? If they don't contradict the infallible Word of the Creator of this universe then they might possibly be true so why argue?

But when people claim that inorganic matter just suddenly came alive and that a fish turned into an amphibian that turned into a reptile that turned into a mammal, well that not only contradicts what the Bible teaches, it defies reason.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_method

Scientific method is a body of techniques for investigating phenomena and acquiring new knowledge, as well as for correcting and integrating previous knowledge. It is based on gathering observable, empirical, measurable evidence, subject to the principles of reasoning.

Where is the observable, empirical, measurable evidence that one type of animal (fish, bird, reptile, etc) can reorganize it's DNA structure and become a mammal? Where are the chain of intermediate fossils that demonstrate that this has ever happened in the past? They don't exist! The whole theory is a huge house of cards.

As to those other theories not being taught, those theories don't affect how people view themselves and their unborn children and their eternal destiny. Also those theories remain largely in the realm of scientists who write papers and debate one another about them. They are for adults who have already made major decisions about their theistic beliefs. The theory of evolution on the other hand is taught to children as somthing that everyone SHOULD belive and if it's true then it means that there is no God and that there is no divine purpose for our being here and therefore everyone should just live their life for what they can get out of it now and not worry about it having any true significance or eternal destiny to worry about.

Science and religion are really not separate at all. Science is God's natural law for the universe, and any Christian with a loving and wise approach could tell you this. We only "attack" evolution and the Big Bang because they dupe people in to thinking they're actual answers. Big Bang is what created earth, so what made all the particles and space before hmmm? And evolution is only disagreed with on a certain level. Since we aren't God we can't tell you exactly how the world was formed, but some suggest that we became humans after God gave us a spirit different from prime-apes, a human will and conscience. So even if our bodies were the result of evolution, our souls were not.

God Bless,
Elisha

--There is a difference between evolution and some of the sciences you have mentioned. Evolution directly denies the existence of an Almighty Creator, were as sciences that are being discovered or researched are indeed improving in learning about the awe we should have for the Great Scientist , God!
--Note please on the advancement in understanding Quantum mechanics that scientists are making and some of the summations they are coming up with:

** g80 8/22 p. 26 "Dimensions of Human Ignorance" ***

According to the noted biologist and research scientist Lewis Thomas, M.D., man should have a greater sense of wonderment about creation around him. The U.S. national museum's "Smithsonian" magazine observes that Thomas' writings stress "how little we humans yet know about the world. The dimensions of human knowledge, he reminds us, are dwarfed by the dimensions of human ignorance."

In an interview with the "Smithsonian," Thomas noted that now "there is much more puzzlement about the laws of nature than there was a century ago." Illustrating this, he related: "Lord Kelvin, a leading figure in physics at the turn of the century, said that physics was now finished and that if he were a young man he wouldn't go into physics because there was nothing more to be done except tidy up a few things. Then along came quantum theory and relativity and quantum mechanics and all the rest.

"I suspect that there will be no end to this process, being the insatiably curious species that we are, exploring, looking around and trying to understand things. We're not ever going to get it solved. I can't imagine any terminal point where everyone will breathe a sigh and will say, 'Now we understand the whole thing.' It's going to remain beyond us. . . . We're studying nature at a much closer hand than we could ever study before. And instead of getting clearer and easier to understand, it's harder to understand."

"Smithsonian" interviewer Timothy Ferris then recalled what Thomas had written about how humans should react to the marvels they see. "Talking about embryology, about the brain coming into existence from what was at one point a single embryonic cell, you write, 'People ought to be walking around all day, all through their waking hours, calling to each other in endless wonderment, talking of nothing except that cell!'" And should not that wonderment and talking extend also to the One who designed that marvelous cell?-April 1980, pages 127-142.

--In the fraud of evolution, there is no advancement to greater understanding of the proven sciences, because evolution contradicts what true science has established--Please note:

*** g90 1/22 p. 9 Fraud in Science-A Greater Fraud ***

Molecular biologist Michael Denton referred to this glib talk about evolution's being a fact and dismissed it with these words: "Now of course such claims are simply nonsense." It's much more than nonsense. It's fraud. It deceives and misrepresents. It perverts the truth to induce another to part with?something of value. Newspapers, radio, TV,?nature series, science programs, schoolbooks from second grade on-all drum this evolution-is-a-fact litany into the public mind. Recently, however, The New York Times reported that California's school board has issued guidelines for science textbooks that apparently de-emphasize teaching evolution as a fact.-November 10, 1989.

--The Big Bang(which is questionable) without the One controlling such an idea is way short of reasonable, The Bible refers to God having "dynamic energy"--and using such in his creation.

The atomic theory, the string theory, quantum mechanics, etc. do not attempt to prove that God does not exist. Evolutionists primary goal it to disprove the Bible account of creation. Ergo, an argument. I stand beck and say, let the mud fly, but science should take a scientific stance. If ooze became human, why is ooze not becoming more humans???? Pure science disproves evolutionism.

Why would we fight something that agrees with our theology....there would be no reason to fight.

Some of this isn't brought up....Some of us only understand quantum physics as something from Star Trek.

We don't fight evolution & the big bang but we think it is about as possible as an explosion in a printing press resulting in an unabridged dictionary.

what do these other THEORIES have to do with our existence? Evolution is intended to explain God out of the picture, and it is only a THEORY. I am sure that there are many THEORIES that don't deserve a moment of thought.

I don't understand why you ask this question, what does it have to do with Creation vs evolution?

And why do you stereo-type all Christians? Can't you think for yourself?

Well I don't get string theory, so how can I argue against it? lol

Neither do I understand that much about Quantum physics or Atomic theory, but give me a half hour and I can read up on it enough to make a basic argument for or against it.

First off, there are pictures of atoms. I suppose it comes down to what you call "clear".

Second, physicists are wrangling over details of quantum theory and it's sequelae, but you won't find any reputable physicist claiming that quantum theory is all wrong.

Third, why would you bother to argue with a theory that you agree with?

Some Christians don't understand that a theory is simply an idea based on some facts.

Theology is just a theory that studies religion, it can never be proven either, written scripture dose not make it factual, it's simply a story written by man, and man is so brain washed today by religion, that he simply cannot separate fact from fiction.
