My dog has a lot of fur.My question is how to get ex amount of dog hair off of my dogs blanket. The blanket is king size and it is just covered with white fur.I took the blanket to the laundromat and washed it but I could not get the hair off of the blanket. How do you remove pet hair from a large blanket.I also put the blanket in the dryer but it still came out with dog hair.Help.

Corduroy lint brush or sticky roller.

Try spraying the blanket with Static Guard (You can buy it at any grocery store or WalMart) then pop it into the dryer on cool. The static is what makes the dog hair cling. Spraying the blanket will help release the hair from the blanket.
I also use the spray before I vacuum the furniture it really works.

I got this tip from handler friend of mine.

Washing the blanket will not remove dog hair. I know this because I used to try doing that with my clothes that were shed on by my dogs and cats.
You will probably have to vacuum it or get a pet hair roller. A pet hair roller is that sticky-tape stuff that you roll over cloth and picks up hair. They are available in pet stores. It will take awhile to go over the entire blanket, especially if it is a large blanket and also if there is alot of hair on it as you may need to go over one area more then once, but it will remove the hair eventually.

First try a vacuum cleaner. Just because it's easier and most people have a vacuum cleaner readily available at their house. Put on the hose attachment and try sucking it up.
If that doesn't work, go to a dollar store or convenience store and buy a lint roller. It works great to get the dog hair off my comforter.

the only thing that works, but it's a lot of work, is get an old or new "white girl tennis shoe" the ones with the rubber soles. and go over the entire blanket with it. the rubber picks up the hair and you can discard it. otherwise, just get a new one. i've battled dog hair forever. either wash frequently. like at least once a week. or just replace as neccessary

Get a whole roll of duct tape and wrap some around your hand. Swipe you hand over the blanket, and see if that will get all the hair off the blanket and onto the tape.

Well, my best solution was to use a lint roller. I have a lot of black clothing (yes, I dare you to call me "little goth girl"...-.-), mainly because it makes me look thinner and I love black and white. Well, my boyfriend's dogs shed a lot. Brown-Eye, the Pitbull mix, has all white fur. Charm, the German Shepherd mix, has all brown and grey fur, because she's old...Like my mom. (Ooo, no I didn't!) Lol. I'm just playing.

But, I got my mom to buy me a lint roller like her husband does for himself. It gets rid of everything, and really useful, too, since I have to see my probation officer tomorrow. (Don't judge me, all I did was throw harmless fireworks in the school hallway. Lol. =) )

If you don't want to have to deal with a lint roller, get a vacuum cleaner and use the hose setting. I have a car cleaner for my floors, though, it works better.

If this doesn't help, I apologise. I tried. =)

Its best when you wash the blanket, use extra fabric softner, and also when you throw the blanket in the dryer, first spray it with anti static spray then throw 3 sheets of fabric softner in the dryer with the blanket.

1. Shake outside.

2. Vacuum cleaner

3. Wash more often

4. Brush you dog more often!

I have 5 dogs. We have tons of hair in this house. Everything - rugs, dog beds, sheets etc gets washed weekly.

I trust people who pronounced the rubber glove treatment. much less costly & effective. i take advantage of this technique each and all of the time at domicile, the place I incredibly have dogs out and in of my domicile each and all of the time (it fairly is the pastime). I incredibly have a useful vacuum, yet there is usually a residue of hair. Rubber gloves get all of it, (till the subsequent dogs is accessible in) !
