do looks really matter in a girl?
like are you more obsessed with her hair or her personality? i'm writing an essay on if guys really ARE shallow, or if they look deeper than looks. teenagers only. no-one over 17. thanks.

Sorry, I'm over 17 but with experience it often depends on how good lookin the guy is. I'm 38 and don't consider myself a bag of chips. I haven't had a lot of girlfriends and take almost any girl as long as she not older than me. I've had fat girlfriends and some that are not all there. well its not like there knocking at my door. I'm a nice guy and learned to be content with what I have. Now take those cute guys for example; they have options. girls knocking at there door and some are in line (guys playin them all). they have no need to worry about looks so they say because they have choice so attitude and personality is something they can look for. He might say he loves you and as soon as you walk out that door he calls the next girl because he has options.. no I'm not saying all guys do that but what really matters to a guy depends on options. Ive had a few girlfriends but the only time I had an option of 2 girls was at age 16. I choose the prettier one and married her at 16 because she got pregnant, divorced at 18. the other girl I had been with for more than a year but she was ugly. she always went out of her way to make me happy and always tried to make me laugh but when the option came around I chose looks over embarrassment. The cute guys with answers have no idea how it feels to not have options and naturally some will become shallow. What I look for is not what I get. anyone and everyone likes a pretty girl and will be content without the perfect one. And when pretty is not an option he will take what he can get and some guys will be content.

Well a guy usually won't go out with a girl he is not attracted to. But if a girl was like average looking and had a good personality I would go out with her. I would not call us shallow though. But some girls think way to high of themselves. Not every girl is attractive and has a great personality. So when one on those girls make their move and the guys turn them down the girl will think and tell her friends that the guy is just shallow.

I think for us guys looks do matter, but the way a girl is from the inside matters even more. A girl can be the hottest girl in the world, but without a good heart and nice feelings, she will only be a hore.

Well i guess out side does matter right? You dont want a girl who cant take care of her self. But inside is what really counts. Im really picky on chooseing girls...Some girls like me that are pretty,not so pretty, but they just dont meet my standards..they gossip about other girls with me and just things like that i dont like in a girl..sweetness is what will want me to notice a girl.

i like people with a good personalltiy. if the hottest girl in school wanted to go out wiht me but they were an *** or just had a really bad personality i wouldnt go out with them. hope that helps
