no it's smart... you need to mature, be able to drive a car (by yourself) also, you should not have a steady gf until your early 20's... enjoy yourself, don't get tied down too early with a relationship!!!

Tough one. Although I was allowed to date at 15 and go to formal dances earlier than that, from observation, for the most part,it seemed that those who dated very early and given too many liberties were the kids that became bored the fastest and got into undesirable activities. Sometimes the body matures before the mind. I'm not sure why nature invented us this way. But I know that makes for a dangerous combination. I'd have probably been really upset at your age with those rules but looking back (after all I've seen and experienced) I think your parents may be onto something. Respect their wishes. They only want whats best for you.

Fact is, you can date, whenever you one as long as your are financially available and able to take heavy responsibility.
Come on, be real and think a while, how much money you have to date a girl out. Sum your amount for the movies, food, shopping, traveling expenses, your grades and as well as responsibility if anything worst happen to you and your date.
That is why your parents stated these statement

I have the exact same problem as you.
my parents think im too young, im 15, thats not too young
at all. I think that you should be allowed to date if you can handle it. Like if you're gonna be one of those people thats like "oh my god i love him sooo much" and it's only been like a week, then you shouldn't date, your obviously not ready. But if you can handle it, then whatever age is ok. Well, anything past 13.
