I would like a dog that is small, easily house trained, potty trained, ect. Something cute, probably short haired, not to expensive as in over $500 one that doesn't shed alot, just a home dog.

Rat Terriers are fantastic dogs. If you are concerned about fur and possible allergic reactions to it, you can get a dog with hair instead of fur. A Maltipoo or Yorkie poo are both good choices.

Check into a Maltese. This is a small dog. Most of them are white. They do have long hair put you can have them cut short. This is a hyper allergenic breed of dog. You will have to be careful leaving them out-door's in the winter as this is a house dog. They are very lovable and if raised around children are pretty good dogs.

I am going to attach a link.. Keep in mind if you let the dogs hair grow you will have to keep it combed I would recommend taking it to the groomers every other month and have it clipped into a puppy cut. Very fun cute dog!

your asking for the world. only thing I could suggest is maybe a poodle. just keep in mind if a dog does not shed that means you have to cut its hair. Go to www.akc.org that will give you a list of dogs you are looking for.

Any dog is going to grow, but a toy poodle or a comparably sized toy breed would generally stay on the small side.

"Jack Rat" Terriers are the perfect dogs. They are small, short-haired, loving, calm, and extremely loyal. They have the soft fur and intellegence of Jack Russell Terriers, and the mild temperament and clamness of the Rat Terrier. They can be found at pet rescues and from breeders.

I no you said not long hair, but I suggest pomeranians, I have 3 and they are the greatest little dogs. Just make sure you socialize them with lots of people and other dogs while they are young.

poodles dont shed much but i dont like them. So the runner up is a carin terrier (like toto from the wizard of oz) and they and small and the best dog you will ever have! I have one my self.
