Either SUV or cool car. By cool I mean not something your mom would drive. Preferably newer, 2003 to now. SUVs, no Jeep wranglers or rubicons. Most others would be fine.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Toyota 4 Runner is a great choice, the Limiteds come with Diff lock, ad leather, but it will be hard to find one with low miles for 10k, I am a toyota fan so I would say buy a toyota if you don't want to work on it all the time. it really depends on if you off road, or if you need 2 wheel or 4, or if you need a truck bed. but I say
Toyota or Newer ford F 150, if you want to buy a older truck and build it up for a lower cost get a early 90's Chevy.

Hope this helps

Rather than specify a model, I offer you this link from autotrader.com

The search is for all used vehicles between 2003 and 2007 which cost less than $10,000 and are located 50 miles from Zip Code 21227. There are over 1100 results - most of them Ford Tauruses, Honda Civics, Hyundai Elantras. I also added SUV's and Sedans. You can modify this search for your own zip code and distance requirements.

2005 + Focus ZX3 hatchback.. 05 and newer they have the Mazda designed 2.0 engine and new interior. 07 will be the last year you can get the hatch so you will have a sporty driver that is also handy. I think Ford is making a mistake changing their great handling hatch for a coupe.. I love driving mine.
