For some reason I've been seeing all of these movies where they have the short haired tomboy and the long haired girl who likes the color pink... In opinion--not fact-- does the tom boy/sporty girl have short hair? Does the girly girl who likes ribbons have long hair?

I think that a girl can look very feminine and beautiful with short hair. It depends on the cut and style.
Movies are just movies, not real life.

Short hair is never considered girly... I'm not really sure what you're asking. Movies the roles are normally stereotyped, so yes they would have the girly girl with curls and ribbons and long luscious tresses, while the tomboy would have short "boyish" hair.

Well when u think about it,...its only in the movies,...bcuz there r girly grls that have short hair & there r sporty grls that have long hair!!

it's a stereotype kinda thing... that way you can identify the characters.
you know, the black-haired rebel, the preppy girl with the bob, etc.
