my sister and I just got tattoo's I have had one before it was her first. It was my first color tat tho. We were told to use lotion but I used bacitration with my last one. Today is the second day we have them and my sister looked at mine and said that my color was running. Not blending together but coming off with the ointment. The color didn't appear to fade when we wiped the ointment off . I was told that it was just my skin healing and sometimes that happens and not to worry. Her's did it too. Shoule we be worried?

No you shouldnt be worried but you should throw the bacitracin away. NOT SUITABLE FOR TATTOOS. It even has it written on the box people!!!! Use a plain unscented white lotion, cocoa butter works just fine. LIGHTLY a couple of times a day until its healed.

Bacitracin WILL pull the colour out of your tattoo, its also known to cause allergic reactions because (lets read the box now) it is unsuitable for tattoo healing. Petroleum products aim is to suck moisture away from the skin, and in your open tattooed pores ink would count as moisture. Throw it away NOW.

No your body is doing its job, eliminating the excess ink, and "plasma". Try not to over treat your new tattoo with too much lotion, it can get irritated and you can break out...

My advice would be give it another day or 2 for your body to push out all the junk...

sounds like you are using too much of whatever you are putting on your tattoo that happened with my first tattoo and if thats happening switch to using lotion it works best curel is the best lotion to use whats happening is your ink is literally coming out because there is too much ointment on your tattoo I had to have mine touched up because so much ink bled out it was my first one and I didnt know any better ......Good luck with your tattoo!!!!!
