I have always used the method....7 days coming into heat...7 days standing (they will accept male) 7 days going out of heat. So you answer from the 8th to the 14th the female can be bred.

I agree if you have to ask this question you probably shouldn't be breeding at all. What if something goes wrong with the pregnancy? It doesn't sound like you have much experience with breeding. You could lose your dog and the puppies. Is this a risk you really want to take with your pet?

If you must breed try to find a mentor with a lot of experience to help you through the processs and contact your vet for assistance. If your dog becomes pregnant it would be best to give her good pre-natal carel.

If you don't know the answer to this question, please think twice before you breed your dog! It reveals that you are not an experienced breeder and the world does NOT need any more backyard breeders. I'm not a fanatic, but seriously, just take a look at all the rescue sites and shelters; there are SOOOO many dogs that need homes. Spay or neuter your dog or eat least don't breed without becoming VERY educated about the process.

Eight to ten days from first day of bleeding after she is really swollen and the bleeding has stopped. She will let you know when she will take a male.Rub her along her back and if her tail stands up over her back she is ready also to breed.
