Are your birds male and female, or is it just female? Sometimes female birds will lay an egg even without mating, but it will normally just stay on the floor of the cage without hatching. Normally male and female birds won't mate unless they have a nesting box available.

There's nothing to worry about, though. It's pretty common for birds to lay an egg on the floor. If they are male and female and you would like to let them have babies, buy a nesting box for them and put some wood shavings or paper towel in it.

Birds lay eggs. You should take them out of the cage so they do not rot. But, I don't know if you have a mate. If not, females still lay eggs even without a mate. If that's the case, the egg will never be fertilized and needs to be removed, and thrown away.

A female will lay an egg even if there is no male present. In most cases you can just throw out the egg if the female isn't sitting on it. If she is you can get fake eggs and replace them. When she gives up on sitting on the eggs or egg just romove it.

Birds can "pick and choose" when they are in the mood to lay eggs. Obviously, one of them is and this is true whether or not there is a male and female pair (I have two females laying eggs constantly even though they wont hatch)
