My boyfriend wanted me to go to the movies with him and i asked my mom and she said i could if she could go with us. Actually i kno she does it because she cares but is there anything i can do or say to her to change her mind because i kno im not gonna do anything wrong.

Though there is probably nothing you can do to change your moms mind. you could try having her meet the boy say after school one day or mabey have him come over one afternoon just to meet her so she can feel like she knows him. You could also do all your chores and make a good grade in school so she feels you are responsible. But the one thing you should NEVER do is whin or complain to her it will just prove to her that you are to young to date. If you want to talk to her have a mature adult conversation explaining that you have a good head on your shoulders and wont do anything stupid and that you just want to hang out with this boy on a more personable level. one last tip, you might want to try an activity with him to start with that does not scream "date!" for example you could go to the fair or to the YMCA to shooot hoops or anything besides the movies and/or restaraunts. I hope everything works out great :)!

I am a mom, and I would let you go if you would let me take you to the movie and pick you up. I wouldn't worry about what went on during the movie, it's the before and after, especially the after that would bother me. Maybe she just wants to meet your boyfriend. Compromise is a good thing.

A lot of parents wouldn't even dream of letting their 13yr old start dating. The fact that your mother is letting you go to the movies with the condition that she go along, is a take or leave kind of deal.

Your still very young and your mom is just being protective, so try and see her side, by the way I also like Three Days Grace, and believe it or not, they are friends. But back to you, try and see your moms point of view and good luck.

At 13 you are lucky to be aloud to go out with a boy with your mom. I would not let my daughter go out with a boy at 13 period. You have a good mom, count yourself lucky.

No there is not when a mother makes up her mind there is no way of changing it. Unless you are spoiled then just do what I do and throw a fit untill you get what you want.

tell her that you can come but to sit away form you. tell that you wouldn't do anything stupid. besides its like going to a movie with a friend.
