no, i have not heard about this. I am a Catholic and practice my faith. I do not eat meat on Holy Days during Lent. Some people actually fast the whole period of Lent but most just don't eat meat. You can have whatever u want except meat so you can have the fish fillets from McDonalds, Burger King, KFC, whatever. You can have other things besides fish too but most people think oh i can't have meat so i'll eat fish.

I'm sick of Catholics during Lent, which is mostly because they have no idea what counts as an animal. Fish are animals. Insects are animals. Have a brain? Then you're an animal. I don't have anything against avoiding eating animals, but if you're a hypocrite and you say that you will give up meat on Fridays (why just Friday, anyway?), and you don't even go through with it, then you've pushed it. KFC should quit fooling itself. If they're going to market fish, they should also sell their famed chicken.

It's a publicity thing to promote something that is undoubtedly full of trans fats.

Here is a link about the requested blessing.

I wouldn't be surprised. Stores jumped on the mass of Christians to celebrate the now-gift-giving holidays. Why not let the foodshops have a go, too?

That KFC would turn my religious practices into a publicity stunt makes me less likely to consume their products.

Yes, I heard that.

Doesn't matter to me...I don't eat fast food fish for Friday's (wow that's a tongue twister). Too many calories.

Only some Catholics observe this. Most don't. It is not mandatory, and hasn't been for a long time.

That's kind of stupid, since you only do that for six days out of the entire year. I havent hear of this before.
