It is not that I don't believe in God, but when I see restrictions, where God is the answer, I have a tendency to question the answer. It seems to cloud judgement.

It seems that those that have removed God from the equation have come up with the correct answers other than God being the answer.

Some religious people can't accept those facts and continue to deny the answer. I guess they will continue to be blind to the truth.

Do you accept answers to life's questions as truth, or blasphemies?

As an example.
People used to think the earth was the center of the universe. That was proved wrong.

Now there is Evolultion. Those with religious convictions seem to not accept this as truth.

There are numerous other myths that have been proved wrong, but that has been because God has been removed from the equation.

It is often convenient when one does not know the answer to attribute it to a foreign entity or force. Sadly, that kind of thought has also lead to witches being killed in Salem just as it did Jews in WWII.

Yeah, once you accept the possibility of no God as an answer to moral and historical questions, your life becomes more complicated, but more truthful.
You start looking to the scientific rather than the miraculous and the philosophical rather than answers from the book/preacher.
You learn to live for the here and now rather than some afterlife.
And lastly life taistes sweeter because you know it is limited.

It is only the Middle Eastern God defined by Hebrew scribes 6000 years ago that is a problem. This God seems so much a contradiction. Christians claim he is loving, but also say he demanded animal sacrifices for almost 4000 years, then decided to have his own son tortured and murdered. I´m only human, but I´d never do that and expect people to call me loving.

I like the Native American God who only asks that we live in harmony with nature.

Are you referring to the fact that germs make you sick when people stopped looking for demons, or that we learned poor sanitation caused disease when we quit looking for witches?

I find that when people do not see a real answer, they turn to a supernatural one. The problem is in the amount of effort put forth to find a natural answer. Some refuse to give up looking for a natural answer...and some never put forth the effort to find (or even listen to) a natural answer in the first place.

It's simple.. not that Christians do not believe in the answers of man... its more along the lines that so many people choose to ignore God and makes excuses so that they can feel better about themselves when deep down they know God exists but if they admit it then they have to deal with the biblical truth...for the truth is Jesus is the way the truth and the life. No man comes to the father but by me.. and if you believe that you need to acknowledge the whole bible is the true word of God.

I agree. I believe there is a God but His existence or not is immaterial to my life and my soul.
