My brother is getting married in August and I am one of the bridemaids, his fiance decided she wanted us to wear our hair in a half pony tail, and curly.. I would really like for my hair to be a lot longer for the wedding.. right now it's a little past my shoulders, what can I do to help it grow faster?

Hair grows about a half an inch a month so you have some time. You should get some clip in hair extensions that match your color. Bring them to your hairstylist and get a practice updo with them. It will look fab. Some ways to make your hair grow the healthiest would be to get a trim every 6 to 8 weeks, eat a diet rich in protein, vitamin B, omega fatty acids and leafy greens. Unfortunately there is nothing out there to actually make hair grow faster, you can only promote healthy hair growth through a healthy diet, avoiding over processing with chemicals or overusing flatirons or drying your hair on the hot setting. Get a deep conditioner and use it once a week. Good luck to your brother, you will look great at the wedding so have fun.

Unfortunately, there really isn't anything you can do. Aside from pregnancy and illness and maybe some funky genes, most people's hair grows about 1/2 in. a month.

HOWEVER there are things that slow the growth of hair: poor diet, stress, and improper hair care.

My advice would be to take a multivitamin every day. Vitamins A, C, E, Zinc, and Biotin help support good skin and hair. Also try to cut out sources of stress in your life, try to eat well, and drink plenty of water. Make sure to keep hair clean and not over styled.

If you do all that and don't see a change in the length of your hair, you'll at least have healthy shiny hair and great skin :)

Good luck!!

Don't get hair extensions. Unless you want your hair to end up like mine! Get as much sun as possible but use a UV protective shampoo or rinse. Eat Jello* and drink milk. Your hair will grow so fast you won't be able to stop it.
