I also want to make running easier for me I am always super tired after only like 5 minutes of slow-jogging so I'm really out-of-shape.

Endurance jogging! Some weight lifting helps too. That's basically it! Endurance means speed. A half hour to start with up to an hour a day. That would pretty much make you competitive with that kind of endurance! This would definitely get you to a 5 minute practice mile! =<)

The only way to be a better, faster, & stronger runner is to run! I know, it sounds too simple, and when you get down to training for races it can be, but simply becoming a better runner requires heart & determination. To help keep you motivated, ask a friend to run with who that has the same goals in mind. You will help to encourage each other. Also, keep a running journal, logging your times and how often you run. Aim to do better every run, even if by just a few seconds. If you dont force yourself to improve, you never will. It's not magic...it takes a lot of guts to get better.
Run anywhere from 4-7 times a week. Listen to your body and don't over-do it. If you want to take a day off, do so & then start right back the next day. Also, make sure to eat properly and get enough sleep. Listen to music while you run to keep your mind off any thoughts of discouragement.
Swimming, biking, and yoga are other activities to try that accelerate running performance.
Happy running!

the more u run every day, the faster you will improve. i would suggest trying to run/walk about 2-3 miles a day, 5 days a week. if you get tired really easily, you should try jogging for 30 seconds and then walking for 10. keep doing this through the 2-3 miles and your fitness should be better in less than a month.

i know exactally how you feel!
just be patient...i started running 3 laps or for about 5 minutes everyday.. if thats too hard start at three minutes.. when you feel comfortable with that boost it up 3 laps or about 2 mintues.. just keep doing that until you feel comfortable.. eventually you wont even be out of breath! you can do it!!
and another thing.. just because you cant run for very long doesn't mean your out of shape! i play every sport at my school, work hard in p.e., and take tumbling classes and i couldnt run well either! just keep practicing! it well help!!
hope this works for you! =]
