is there such a thing as soul mates?

I ask this question after i met the woman of my dreams not so long ago, we have so much in comman and so much to talk about we get on as if we have known each other for years, we agree on most things and are really open with each other we have both talked about soul mates and wanted to know what other people think of the idea?

mate, I'm am on my boyfriends login at the mo and YES there is such a thing as soulmates..... I have found mine 6 months ago and we have now moved in together with his 3 children aged 12, 11 and 8 and mine which are 15 and 11. We are now living in perfect harmony and I am so in love that I could never imagine myself without him. I understand every emotion that You have mentioned and more!!!!! I'll tell you something, grab it with both hands when you feel like that cause what you are feeling is really rare..... I feel it big time and so does my guy. This does not happen for everyone, and it does not happen every day mate.... go for it .... I wish you luck, not that you'll need it from what you have said! xx

Hi st3w, Yes there is. I too have met a wonderful man and we have almost everything in common. He will start talking and i know what he is going to say, and he does the same to me. He lives very far from me and i can feel his pain of worry and other matters and he also can feel my emotions too. We are truely linked as one. We both believe we are true soulmates and plan on staying with each other. We have an open and trusting and honest relationship and we wouldn't have it any other way. It sure keeps from having fights about silly things. Open honest and trusting relationship is the only true way to go. The concept is that souls are born as twins, and one's goal in life is to find that one soul mate out of the 7 billion people on the planet.

I agree that some people are extremely compatible, but the idea of soul mates seems like rather silly nonsense.

I believe so. It is said that your soul knows other souls. Have you ever met someone and just did not like that person right off the bat and there was no explanation for it? Your souls have crossed paths somewhere before, just like when you meet someone and its like you have known them for your whole life. Yes I believe in soul mates and soul circles

Yes, on soul mates. I have lived with one of mine for almost fifty years now. True story. Just one point I would like to add here, and that is - I believe it might be a mistake in judgment to believe there is only one.

I have a sister who thinks she married her soul mate.She must hand her husband her wages and he doles out the money, she doesn't have a cheque book because her husband thinks woman are stupid with money.She cant go into a shop and buy something unless he agrees to it,and she thinks she has a wonderful husband.He told her woman should be knitting what did she do go out after asking him for the money and bought wool .

I believe in the one but answer me this; what if you and your soul mate was 19 and s/he died? Does that mean you'll never find someone else that could be your soul mate? Which one is your soulmate?

If there were soulmates, God would give us instruction on how to find them. As it is, we simply try to find someone compatible with us, but they aren't part of our soul or anything. They're just good companions. I've found mine and I love her to pieces.
