The problems vary greatly...It seems that for every complaint, you hear, it's a new one.

But, as a co-worker pointed out to me, XP had as many (if not more) problems.

An acquaintence installed the basic version of Home recently, and it wouldn not burn a CD to save his life...it would format the disc and then tell him that there was nothing (on the disc). When he tried to eject it, it "sealed" the disc, and then took an excessive amount of time before the drawer opened (he used 10 minutes to describe the interval).

One thing I've heard from a tech writer (WXP Newsletter editor I believe it was) that she had 1Gb or more of memory, and that her computer was running slow. When she checked her memory, Vista had co-opted/filled by Vista...within minutes, from a fresh install!

A Major Security Patch was released a couple of days ago for it, That tells me to stick with xp, alot of hackers will be targeting Vista and leaving xp behind, it's new, and Microsoft has claimed a Non-Hackable Vista is ready,,,,, LOL, I don't think so.... And quite a few sites won't work with Vista, MS releases the OS and The Web isn't ready yet.....

The main problem with Windows Vista is that if you're not running a computer with at least 512mb of memory, it will be extremely slow and jerky.

IE 7. With Vista, Internet Explore has crashed several times, especially when closing Internet explore... Once been closed, a message appears " Windows has encountered a problem and needs to be closed."

To correct this issue, disable site advisor on IE 7.

That's it.
