Depends.. Do you want low impact exercise or do you prefer running? I burn more calories on the treadmill on an incline. Lately I'm having hip problems so I switched to the bike. V shape? Lat pulldowns.. Stagger your grip.. Start wide and work narrow.. Do several sets.. If you can do pullups.. do pullups.

a bike is way better, it uses your leg muscles, a treadmill will only help you burn calories and gain stamina but for that V shape you need to use a bike and a combination of other machines

Both are great for building muscle and burning calories...Bike has lower impact.
