It took them this long to admit it was going on. This was something that was done to humanity.

I don't think so, because I personally do not believe there is such a place. Although they sure are trying to build hell here on Earth by their actions.

And since I have this opportunity:

Torture is anti-American and is not called for. EVER.
And certainly not on terror SUSPECTS.
We CANNOT win the war on terror by adopting the values of the people we are fighting against.

I don't believe anyone goes to Hell, because everyone deserves a chance for change, a chance to learn what they did wrong. They made a mistake not admitting it, but they shouldn't go to Hell for it.

Not necessarily. It's up to God to look at the circumstances and determine whether it was sin. Humans don't get to make that decision, all they get is an opinion and I believe that torturing is sometimes acceptable and the Bible definitely condones killing in the case of war.

Republicans and Christianity are not synonymous.

But, from what I've seen...no one has been tortured. If you want to know about torture, check out what was done to our POWs. Big difference. What our soldiers did to the Muslim prisoners amounted a mild hazing prank...not torture!

Not all republicans think torture isn't a sin. It is a sin in most circumstances, but if a desperate situation comes about and it is for the greater good, torture may be the only alternative.

Hell is for sinners. Isn't it kind of obvious what is going to happen in the long run? I hear those flames are hot and eternity lasts a long, long time.

Why are you judging others? Only God knows what is in a persons heart. Killing people is not a sin,the correct wording of that commandment is "Thou shall not murder", Murder is premeditated, killing is self defense. There is a difference

Humanity be damned. If someone needs to know something, and needs to know something bad enough. It's gonna happen.
If you think saying platitudes like "you can't torture me becuse it's a sin", it's not gonna stop them from doing it to you, if they feel they need to. You are naive if you think any different. This goes for anyone, any country on earth.

But it's not a sin. The bible makes it very clear that you can do all sorts of stuff to your enemies. Just look at all the stuff that god ordered the jews to do. You need to re read the whole bible, not just the parts you like and agree with.

Why is torture and killing a sin if it's war. There's plenty of war in the Bible. Cite your references.
