I agree with Free & Sassy and Vintage Music. If you need it FAST (ASAP), you may do just as well to just buy a new one. Unless you have a very high line camera, you can buy a replacement for less than you can get your camera repaired. Shop within the same brand if you want to use the battery you already have (unless it uses "AA" batteries, so it wouldn't matter) and at least check to see if your new camera takes the same kind of memory card as your old one so you don't have to buy another one if you don't want to.

Yeah a new one. You can find a lot of nice Kodak, Nikon, Fuji and Canon between $100 and $200. It's going to cost an easy $100 to fix any camera.

If you need a new camera NOW then buy a new one, it can take up to 1 week to 4 weeks to fix a camera.

Camera companies have got you by the....where they want you. I would say unless it's under warranty don't even think of getting it fixed. Too expensive. Buy a new one! To me ASAP means you're hiding fact that it's broke. ASAP get new one.

Get a new one, they are inexpensive now... HP at Wal Mart is like $100.00 so I would suggest that.
