"Cardio", is short for cariovascular, meaning heart, lungs, blood vessels. For your warm up exercises you should focus on the muscle groups you intend to train at that time. Your cardio after lifting should be along the same lines as the warm-up you did prior to lifting, but add a med. intesity run for about 10 min.

Cardio stands for cardiovascular exercise.
It's about your heart, lungs, and the way oxygen is taken into your body, used, and co2 (carbon dioxide) is then expelled from the body.
You've got the plan down, warm up and cardio after strength training. The kind of cardio exercise you do realy depends on your body and how you feel. It's also different from person to person. Many people like a jog to warm up and a walk to cool down. Sometimes, I've done the opposite, walk to warm up and run to cool down. It's all about listening to your body and doing what needs or wants at the time. Learning to listen to your body is an important part of exercise.
