The last day is judgment day ... the definitive end of this age and the beginning of the next, where Jesus will determine the eternal destiny of everyone who ever lived ... right out in the open, for all to see and hear.

Great question.
It is clearly represented in the Bible that there is a judgment at the end of time where God will judge the world. It clearly explains that the world will end one day. The how/ why is a mystery- even Jesus said he doesn't know the day or the hour.

When the Bible refers to things dealing with the end time- it always refers to it in metaphors. There are many, many verses referring to the end times- some in Daniel, Ezekiel, 1 Thess. 4:17 is a big one.

So the "last day" refers to a last judgment where God will judge the world.

2 Tim 3:1-5 Paul talks about the attitudes that we would see in the last days.
Mat 24 Jesus spoke about this to.
Last days refer to the last days of this system that we are living in now. All the signs are here.
Jehovah God's Kingdom is our only hope. Dan 2:44
