The diabetes is causing the neuropathy. The stress of your current illness and being partially or fully bed ridden is a factor. But it is your underlying condition, exacerbated by illness. It is not directly linked to osteoporosis. Talk to your doctor.

I have had a swelling in a part of my ankle area that seems to get worse when I am on my feet more..also, I have a pain going from my rear end area of my thigh all the way down my leg and seems to cramp up more the more I am on it. What is this a symptom of? Can this be Rheumatoid Arthritis in my right food since the swelling seems to go up and down? Also if I am laying in bed, I sometimes feel pain in the back of my thigh..why is this? is this anything you go through during menopause? I am a 51 year old woman. By the way this pain is all on my right side..my right ankle/foot and also right thigh.
