I lost some respect for him in the 2000 primaries actually.
He was running on the campaign finance reform issue, that was his big championed cause.
Surveys at the time showed that that wasn't even in the top 10 for issues that people were worried about. But he wouldn't drop it. he rode that horse into the ground and it accomplished nothing.
He flip flops... ALOT. For being Senator of Arizona, .. well where is his work on immigration issues... ???
Admire him for his service and enduring being a POW. But that does not make him a good politician.

And that comment about dropping the bomb on the USS Forrestal, it didn't happen. If it had, he would not have remained a fighter pilot, which he was when shot down & captured by the North Vietnamese.

Never did have any to lose. He is not going to win the nomination for your party, looking at what you have to present. Which one do you choose, I haven't seen one worth looking at . But look at the Democrat Candidates they sure look fine. and fit to be a President.

I lost respect for him when started sucking up to Bush and Co., after Bush trashed him in the 2000 primaries.
