OK, the answer is (a roller), not just any roller, got to a major paint store and get....well, Just ask the guy for a weenie skin, he will know what your talking about, make sure it's 1/4 in. x 6 then get 1 qrt. of oil enamel color of your choice, pour it in a bucket, add a little paint thinner, mix well and roll it on the door, keep it even not too much not too little. after it's all on the door, dry roll it a little to lay it off. Damn, I'm giving away all my tricks of the trade N/C.

I use a paint brush. Remember you can thin the paint if you need to. Also it is very important that the door is primed before painted, use the same brand primer as you are using paint.

For a door, use a brush. Do not use a paint sprayer, they do not give good coverage and the paint will wear alot quicker.

I would use the brush gently back and forth save the rollers for the walls although the ideal way to do it is by spraying them with a paint sprayer

you can roll paint onto the door... then with paint on your brush...start at top and pull light even strokes from top to middle of door... then pull light even strokes from bottom of door to middle... this gives a brush stroked appearance... called flowing.
Hope this helps
Be Blessed!
