I just received a call from 877-517-4896 (not a personal number). I never receive random phone calls, so, my curiosity brought me to Yahoo to search the number, as that tells me who it is. I was surprised to learn that many other people have been receiving calls from this number. Almost everyone mentioned being signed up with the "Do Not Call" list. I just signed up yesterday. What I was wondering is if anyone else has gotten a call yet from them, and how do I stop it before my phone starts ringing non-stop? (During my "research", I received a call from them)

By the way, getting on the 'Do not call' list takes a while to take effect. I found it doesn't help that much. I still get a lot of Telemarketers who call, usually from 'private' or 800-888-877 numbers. Also, please note, that ANY company you have EVER done business with, still has the right to call you, regardless of your 'do not call' status. I stop most of them with a service called 'Anonymous Call Rejection', included with Caller ID service!!

I can't answer for all metal or gothic bands but Black Sabbath is definitely not Satanic. Liten to the lyrics of the song Black Sabbath. The writer is frightened by Satan and calls out to God to save him. That is not something a satanist would do. "Black Sabbath" What is this that stands before me? Figure in black which points at me Turn around quick, and start to run Find out I'm the chosen one Oh no Big black shape with eyes of fire Telling people their desire Satan's sitting there, he's smiling Watches those flames get higher and higher Oh no, no, please God help me Is it the end, my friend? Satan's coming 'round the bend people running 'cause they're scared The people better go and beware No, no, please, no

I get a bunch of ga y calls all the time, but I don't usually pay attention to the number. What I like to do is when I get a telemarketer I like to mess with them and either A. Get them excited and in the end say "In second thought, I don't want to buy"

or B. make something up and say when I answer the phone "no thanks but do you want to buy from me? I'm selling the "(what evr I thought of 3000)" for $500?

Answer the call - pay attention to who they say they are -ask them to remove your name from their calling list - report them to your attorney general if the calls continue.
