Flavor! something Bud, Coors and Miller lack. Explore the many fine microbrews or better yet visit a brewpub and enjoy the freshest most carefully crafted beer around. Another suggestion is go to a beer bar (Flying Saucer if one is neer), ask the bartender for a flight of beers and sample.

A good beer is an all malt beer. The popular priced American beers also have grain fillers and sugar added. Malt is a process that converts grains (usually barley for beer) into ferment-able sugar. It is expensive, so US companies cut corners to get the alcohol up. If you'd like to experiment, go to a liquor store and get a can/bottle of Kirin, Heinekin, Steinlager, Foster's, and a Coors/Bud/MGD (whatever you like). Take them home and try a taste test. You decide which is a good beer.

NOT Bud or Coors! Oops, thought you said who!
Anyway, start with Sierra Nevada, they make good beer, or ale. Ale is good beer, usually stronger than largers or pilsners. Sam Adams, many products. Go into a well known liquor store where they are known for good service and speak English and ask the same questions. You'll have fun with the answers! I prefer Belgian Ales and IPAs myself.

A good beer is any beer you can look forward to when work is overwhelming. I mean it is a beer that causes your feelings to rise right when you think you can't take another thing. Any questions?

Depends on your preference

If you like bitter things: a lot of hops, its the bitter spice of beer
suggested styles: look for an India Pale ALe, theyre full of hops and are very nice

If you like a roasted flavor: roasted malts, commonly found in porters and stouts.

sweet: lower lower hops With less hops in the brew the sweet malt flavor will come out more. Also there are beers that use real fruit in them (fruit lambics) however a lot of those are not widely available and are not cheap...

Any way, i would suggest visiting beeradvocate.com you can find out a lot

I have no prefrence and will drink anything but I have found that local/Home brews tend to be the freshest and flavorful beers than anything you can buy on the market.
