Today I ate half a sandwich (50 calories), a grapefruit (60 calories), half a can of tuna fish (60 calories), and some low fat yougurt (30 calories)...that's it! I also walked for 30 minutes (burned 90 calories), ran on the treadmill (burned 100 calories), and di some situp/pushups (burned 100 calories). Since I burn about 1400 calories a day that means...

I ate 200 calories
I burned 1700 calories.

Therefore in total today I lost 1500 CALORIES!!! Is that good, If I continue with this diet how long will it be until I lose 10 lbs.

P.S.
Please don't tell me its unsafe, I NEDD to lose this weight!!! Remember best answer gets points!!!

If you want to lose weight for an event or one-time-thing then rock on. If you want to lose weight and keep it off, eat healthier -- leave anorexia to the celebrities.

You will lose weight, however it's because your body will go into an anorexic state...which basically means it's eating itself. So it's not just the weight you will lose, but it will weaken your muscles including your heart. As soon as you do eat something your body will turn it into fat. I suggest that instead of eating so little that you eat healthier. Try eating smaller portions more often. A good diet is eating 5 times a day, two ounces of chicken (white meat) or fish, a large salad (no dressing, try using salsa instead) and lots of fresh and steamed veggies. If you cut out all the salt it will help you lose also...also drink plenty of water. Add in about a half cup of brown rice twice a day and you could lose up to 10 pounds in a week if you are very overweight.

Good Luck.

If you really need to lose the weight do it. I lost weight in a similar way. The only calories I had between 9am and 7pm were from 3 cups of coffee with 2 teaspoons of sugar and 2 tablespoons of creamer. I would also have 400 to 600 calories for dinner. I lost about 12lbs in about 2months with out working out! I was on my feet almost all day. I know its unhealthy but I had no choice at the time. Good luck. I hope you lose what you need to!

Well congratulations. You spent a whole day obsessing over your weight, and hey it payed off, you worked off about 1/3 a pound.
Unfortunately after all your hard work for one day, you will need to do this every day for about 30 days to loose 10 pounds.
But eventually you will become even more obsessed and have a bad relationship with food and you will binge and gain it all back. and then you will once again go anorexic and loose it all again, but then to just gain it back after days of bingeing.
Don't rush yourself to loose weight. Loosing steady weight over a longer weird of time will keep the weight off and you will end up making more progress that way.
You have all your life to loose weight steadily and casually. If you do it this way you will be a happier person. You will have more time to spend being happy instead of spending your whole day focused on loosing weight.

Sorry, its unsafe!! very often weight lost due to extreme measures is not kept off long term and then you also have to deal with the possibility of negative side effects to your general health. in addition if your body continues to recieve less calories than it needs to maintain good health it can actually go into 'starvation' mode where it will no longer burn fat, in turn you will see a slow down or cessation of weight loss which may make you want to try even harder to lose the weight, and there begins the journey to eating disorders and misery, please be careful , there are safe ways to lose weight, get some advice from your pharmacist or doctor.

Your reasoning is correct regarding the balance of input energy and output energy. If you spend more than you eat you will loose weight.
I will just add one thing. You will need energy to keep exercising and keep loosing the extra fat right?
Make sure the energy you need will come mostly from protein, because the body uses protein to make enzymes, which are fundamental in the reactions that produce energy for you to exercise, move and be alive. If you don't eat enough protein, your body will remove it from your muscles first, than from your organs and you DON'T want THAT to happen.
The calories from pure protein you DON'T need to add up to your daily calculations, since they will not go to your fat cells. Only the excess simple carbohydrates (bread, pasta, sweets, sodas etc..) are immediately deposited as fat, when you don't immediately spend them.
The protein you eat go to your muscles and to make enzymes, two critical and needed functions of your metabolism.
An average person needs to eat an average of 90 g of protein a day. Read the labels and count how much you are consuming, I am willing to bet it is not enough.
Trust me on this one, I have studied biochemistry, give nutrition consulting and am also a Fitness Trainer.

well you will initially gain weight because your body needs those calories to run and if it doesn't get them it will store the fat in your body, but after a week or so you will start to lose weight immediately, probably in two weeks or so you will lose ten points, it seems as though you are on the verge of anorexia, and this isn't the best way to lose weight because you will gain it right back after, but i'm not here to lecture you.

sorry to tell you but your plan wont work...all the food that you are eating is being stored as fat as your body thinks its being starved.in which you are doing......drink more water, fruit, veggies, protein and a small amount of carbs. you didn't get over weight over night so you cant lose weight over night.it will take some time. hey just love your self for who you are and not something that your not
