...seriously?

You should tell a teacher at school....or ring social services and ask to speak with your social workers team leader.

Failing that, GO TO THE POLICE. If you're under 18 this is a child protection issue.....

Oh dear, I have a question . Is this true or are you winding people up. I have had several years of experience in social work and I have never come up against any social worker who would not take an allegation of abuse seriously against anyone including foster parents. If true I suggest you remove yourself from your foster parents by perhaps refusing to return home when at school this will bring the situation to a head and involve several agencies who cannot ignore the situation . The social worker is a rep of the orgasnisation she/he works for make a formal complaint you will be listend to.

My husband was told to keep quiet when the social workers came to call..... because he was beaten with a belt and buckle(by a vicar i must add) and he was only 4 (with his sister) when he joined there "family" etc.,the system stinks and you should fight for justice kicking and screaming until someone helps you.....do everything you have to to get help...my husband couldn't and it affects him still (at 42) and his foster brothers too.You deserve better and don't EVER let anyone tell you different.Go to the police if you have to ..
.Why do people foster ,is it just for the money?it is telling that the 2 children they officially adopted are treated completely different to the fostered children although they expect the same respect???
well my husbands foster parents have no mortgage and an apartment in Spain so you tell me, both work one used to work for Bernardo's the hypocritical bastard!!!!!??the other is a deputy head in a primary school...god help our kids!
every child should have a childhood so what has gone so wrong?
I wish you all the luck in the world and please remember that we aren't all bad no matter how things are for you now. Please don't loose faith in human nature we are out there!

Define beaten up please. You have given no hint of the situation that happened and merely made an allegation. Its not particularly easy to become a social worker, e.g. study, placements, police checks etc before you would ever be involved in a case. I suspect you are giving us the situation as you see it but without facts or examples its difficult to answer. You should be removed from your foster parents for at least one reason. They had a duty of care to ensure you received an education. In that respect they have quite blatantly failed you.

I got my degree in Social Work, because I was so disgusted with Social Workers. The best way to legally 'fight' with an organization of any kind, is to learn their rules and use them against them. I know how badly many foster children are treated! I've seen the horrible things they do to children. I've rescued them from Foster Homes, and brought them home. To do this, I got a Foster Care License, to make it legal. As a counselor at the schools, I had children tell me horrible tales (I believe them) about getting molested, raped, being locked out, having no decent clothing to wear, and yukky food to eat.
I went to clothing stores of the best type in our area, explained that I wanted to set up (in my living room) a big area, where kids could come and get clothing that was 'cool' to wear, and I'd need shoes and jewelry, and all of that. Since I was a counselor, I had a lot of teens who came to me, and who needed these things. They were invited over to CHOOSE what they liked! Jean clothing went first, of course! Why not? I was given by these wonderful stores, prom dresses and from beauty parlors, I got gift certificates for the kids to get haircuts, hair-dos, and all of that. It was a huge success, and the kids came in droves. That was o.k., since I'd set up a weekly 'run' of my generous stores, and they gave me fresh stuff every week! It was fun, and so many children, teens were helped! No charge, ever for anyone!

Go over your social workers head and report both her and your foster parents.

I do not know how old you are, if you are still at school speak to your teacher.

If you are an Adult now Complain to Customer services of your local council (you can do this if you are a child as well)

Good luck

The system sucks that's why, my 10 year old son has a best friend across the road and isn't allowed to knock for him, he is fostered. My son keeps telling me things about him which i have dismissed as hearsay, you have got me worried now, me and my husband have discussed fostering lately so I put i down to that mostly. If you do get some good answers please let me know i would hate for this little boy to go through what u have. Squawinpants@yahoo.com seriously. As for u do what you can to improve the system and speak out.

Well then go to the Police, call Child Line, or speak to a teacher at school.
