It looks like he likes you and you like him! you go up to him and casually say will you go out with me. if he says no and feels uncomfortable so he decides not to be your best friend anymore then he is the wrong guy for you. i had the same problem. i asked logan out and he said i was not his type and later that day he told me he no longer wanted to be friends with me! i was devestated!!
i really thought he liked me but i am glad that i said no! i now realize that it is his loss! if he drops you then he is not a true friend! that will not happen though! he sounds like he really likes you! go for it!!!!!! good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
