Stan

Stan has beer, but Jesus can make wine out of water... so I'd have to go with Jesus.

Seriously though, your question is both a loaded question and a fallacy of the false dichotomy, so it's not even valid, but I'll try and offer a helpful answer anyway.

People that believe Jesus and Satan exist would never knowingly pick or side with Satan, that's a no-brainer. The people who reject Jesus do so because they don't believe he exists, and they recognize that there is little to no real evidence for his physical existence and/or they know that his entire story is plagiarized from Pagan beliefs and gods. People have solid reasons to disbelieve Jesus, more reason than to think he was real.

And the idea that liberals want to be with Satan is just too ridiculous... most liberals are christians... indeed its the christianity and their understanding of Jesus's actual teachings about loving your neighbor, helping the needy, not throwing the first stone, being a good Samaritan, not giving in to greed or political power, etc. that makes them liberal. Indeed there's a stronger case for conservatives not following his word... There is no doubt in any bible scholar's mind that Jesus would have been a flaming liberal hippie.

I hope you're not generalizing liberals. In my country (USA), most liberals are Christians. But liberals refuse to force their religion onto everyone else, and that is seen by some, erroneously, as being anti-Xian.

But you are presenting a false dilemma--ASSuming that the only two choices are Jesus and Stan... er, Satan. People who don't share your ASSumptions can see way beyond Jesus:

- I won't accept Jesus because he does not exist. If he was a historical figure, then he's dead now.

- I won't side with Satan, because he's just as imaginary as Jesus.

- While i don't want to burn in hell, i don't worry about it because hell is also imaginary.

- I want to be a good person, yet i've found imaginary omnipotent beings to be a horrendously unreliable guide to morality. Jesus's Dad did far, far, far more evil in the Bible than Satan did. (Check it out!)

Other non-Xian liberals will have their own reasons, but they'll probably be similar to mine. I hope this gives you a idea of the possibilities you haven't considered, as well as our reasons for rejecting Jesus. So don't feel bad for us; we'll be fine. :-)

Stan? I didn't know Jesus and some dude named Stan were having a fight.

I'm an EX-Christian. I understand the whole concept of salvation and I likewise understand what according to the bible is the consequence of my apostasy. I understand about the unforgivable sin; that is someone having full knowledge and understanding and rejects Christ, someone who has the "holy spirit" in them and casts it out. I have never regretted leaving Christianity and I never will. In my mind, it was the only honorable thing to do for I could not in good conscience worship a God who would damn people to an eternity of torture. Such a God is an malevolent deity. I'd rather keep my honor and than being a groveling slave to the will of a malevolent deity. If he damns me to hell for not bowing a knee, then I shall dine in Hell!

Stan owes me $20. And Jesus is good at fixing cars and jumping fences, so I'm siding with Jesus.

1. Satan doesn't exist.
2. It is not a sin to be a liberal. If being a Republican is being like Dubya then I'm all for being a liberal.
3. hell is non-existant
4. Jesus of Nazareth was a human being and not divine.

**There is no proof on either side of the deity argument.

I'm on the side of Humanity - at least it deserves my faith.
