do you think it's reasonable or overprotective for the parents of a 15-year-old to chaperone her and a friend to a concert (at a small venue)?

my parents said they'd be at the back, but they'd still have to be there.

Sounds reasonable to me. At least they arent going to sit with you. Count yourself lucky that they are letting you go at all.

Yeah, I think it's a little overboard. I think a teen your age should be able to enjoy some freedom from parents and be given the chance to show that you will be a responsible person, going to and during/after the concert. Maybe a stop for a burger on the way home, but if on a weekend,be home by 11,school night by 10. Good luck, my twins are 26 now, my babies are all grown up!

Just have a great time and forget that your parents are there. At least they care enough about you to be there in the first place.

They just don't want anything to happen to you. Let them come and then maybe next time they will decide you are old enough to go alone. Don't fight them work with them. It will makes things better for you in the end. Have fun!

You are 15, you need to abide by your parents rules. If you really want to go, you are going to have to let your parents be there too. At least they are not going to be by you.
