Simple. God is a 4-legged mushroom.
****I have heard that it is our spirit, not our bodies that are made in God's image, and since the spirit is 'invisible', I think my guess is as good as anybodies.

Because God evolved from a 4 legged animal, duh.
I'm being facetious. Really the idea that we were created in god's image strikes me as being blissfully naive. We are so sloppily designed, that there's no way a supreme being would resemble anything like us... Indeed a supreme being, being allegedly perfect would not have form perceivable to imperfect beings.
Although god doesn't exist, so that makes it all conveniently simple.

Ive also asked why God wasnt able to come up with a better design, so he used the same one for the human hand, whale fin and bat wing... to similar lack of responses...

Actually it is a six-legged animal. They have them in the starwars universe. Oh yes, it was real a long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.
