NEVER. The EIC is a rip off to all of us who reproduce responsibly & work hard to pay lots & lots in taxes to support moochers who need to zip their pants & get a 1st, 2nd & 3rd job if needed to support themselves & their progeny. The U.S. is about equality of OPPORTUNITY -- NOT equality of outcomes!

Do I sound like a meanie? Maybe I am...but my grandmother raised 4 kids after being widowed then divorced. She worked 4 jobs at times & put herself through beauty school, got NO child support, NO Social Security & NO welfare - not even food stamps. Yet she paid off & maintained a nice, but modest brick house, has longterm care insurance, still works part-time (at 75) & has a paid for car (05 Camry). Btw, she never made more than $25k in a year. What is her big secret? She NEVER paid a dime of interest except on her house. She lived below her means, no matter how modest they were. I wish the welfare wenches I know would follow her footsteps.
