recently i wrote a note about the rapture and how we should live our lives right according to the bible!! i even include this video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5C2yBpRrD4I

and someone responded:But this is for the so called "Evangelists" that have been doing their "Missionary" work. You are playing with something very serious and potentially dangerous as you attempt to recruit people for your "group" or "assembly". Not everyone believes the same thing, although the majority of religions have formed from the same standard beginning.
I believe that until you truly understand something, you should not teach it. It is ok to share, but when you start preaching and passing judgment on differences, you stray away from the ultimate goal of humanity. I am becoming annoyed unfortunately with people "picking and choosing" and for that I am sorry. I understand that they are just coming into some aspects of the Word and they are learning one bit at a time. For those people I want to let them know that alot of things you used to do, have NO BIBLICAL PORTION in the scriptures. It is very noticeable and you will see it when you truly open your eyes. I do not want to seem like I am judging or condemning but I do want to stress that NO ONE on Earth has the right to judge or condemn anyone else unless he or she intends to pay for it at the ultimate judgment.

The rapture is biblical, many do not want to see that though because the actual word "rapture" is not in the bible, but the greek is "rapturos" and it means to be taken up--and 1 Thessalonians 4 states that we will go up and meet Him in the clouds, the day He comes for His saints.
So don't worry about what others say and just know that if you are speaking the truth of God's word, that is all that matters.
God Bless!

The rapture doctrine, as most evangelicals like understand it, theorizes that all good Christians willl get raptured out of the world PRIOR to the great tribulation of the end times.

Until slightly less than 200 years ago, there wasn't one person who would ever have conceived of such a thing.

Until recently, the common and universal Christian belief, based on a much less tortured interpretation of scripture, as well as prior biblical precedent, was that the end time tribulations would occur, and God would preserve his people, right here on earth.

Then Jesus would arrive, destroy evil, transform everyone who ever lived into glory, judge everyone, and proceed with us into the next age.

If you want to know how God can do such things, study the Book of Exodus, where the Hebrew Land of Goshen was untouched by any of the plagues that devastated the rest of Egypt.

And of course, God even worked out a method to save his people from the angel of death, at the first Passover.

The parallels between the struggles, the tribulations and the personalities in both Exodus and Revelation are very similar, and God tends to foreshadow future events with earlier ones.

While God certainly could have "raptured" the Israelites right into the Promised Land, he didn't.

I'm betting God's not going to rapture the Church either, at least not the way you think. I'm betting he's going to protect and preserve his people in the times of the end, much the same way he did it before ... right here on this planet.

Then we'll get to see him coming on the clouds, in power and glory, surrounded by all the heavenly hosts, just like it says in the plain text of the Bible.

I totally agree with you and yes, just like the rest of us you too are being a little judgemental. It is a human not Godly trait. God's opinion of somethng never varies.

Please keep in mind that when you say that something does not have a Biblical portion in the scriptures you may be talking about a difference in interpretation rather than an outright lie or deception. I am not saying that you should believe everything else you hear but unless the Bible gives a clear statement that something is wrong, as I said, it could just be interpretation.

Anyway, I'm sorry if any of my comments have offended you. It is not my intent. God Bless.

You are right, though I did not bother to watch video. The Bible is the meaning of life and to live by it is the way to eternal life. I would also say even if others were right and it was a "book made by man" it still would be one of the best ways to live even still.(But I do not believe the latter)

As for the words of the other person I do not wish to go into it picking it apart, but you do have to use discernment, which can easily be viewed as Judging. But, we must realize that the standard we use will be used against us so do so very carefully as if you were working out your own salvation.

I agree, lets not divide over nonessentials.Jesus' prayer for us was that we be one, even as He and the Father are one, that we love one another as He loved us,so that the world may believe that God sent Him.When we divide over these things, we hinder the work of Christ on the cross. But pride is hard for people to overcome.Grace and peace.
