Let's clarify something: both guys and gals cheat -- it is not indigenous to only one sex.
Is it right? No, not ever. Are there guys and gals out there who will not cheat? Absolutely!
The kinds of questions you might want to ask of yourself is this: what do I really want in a person? What kind of standards would I accept? What will I absolutely NOT accept in a person?
As a person, you have every right to accept only the best standards in an individual (honesty, integrity, respect for others, good moral character, high values) and to reject anyone who does not live up to it (dishonesty, shadiness, self-centeredness, etc.).
You deserve no less and you should not settle for less.

I would imagine that boys cheat for the same reasons that girls cheat (please don't be naive enough to tell me that girls cheat less than boys): jealousy and revenge, not caring about the other person, hormones and biology, attention and ego.
Some of it is could be a miscommunication or misunderstanding regarding what's going on. As an extreme example, if the boy views it as a hookup but the girl views it as a solid relationship, then they will react differently if the boy then sleeps with another girl. Both acknowledge it happened, but the boy will not see it as cheating or wrong if he doesn't think there is a serious relationship.
It's not a guy thing.
It's not a girl thing.
It's a human thing.

Why does anyone cheat? There are different reasons. I don't know to who you are referring or to the circumstances. A lot of young guys cheat because they are guys and don't really want to be tied down. Now if this was an older guy in a relationship perhaps he felt like his relationship was to routine or wasn't in love anymore. Just ask him why he cheated, he will most likely say "i don't know" but see what he says. If its a young guy, he just likes girls and likes to have sex.

Their dads never gave them what they need which is basically to tell them that they're proud of them.So that need never gets met and they try to meet it in other ways without knowing it,like sleeping around or watching sports etc.Like alot of women try to feel beautiful by sleeping around.The only one that can truly meet our needs is God(Jesus),other wise we'll only have our needs met for a little while and we'll go from one destructive thing to another.

it's human nature to cheat. We can't stay with one person. It's scientifically impossible.
