the exact same thing happened with my friend! ( i was sorta caught in the middle and helped them come up with a solution)
heres wut u should do... first of all, the guy's friend should want wuts best for you, not for him. if he LOVES you, then he'll let you go, even if he's givin u to his best friend.
second, the guy u like probably feels very uneasy about how his friend will react and if they even stay friends if he goes out with u. Trust me on this, he probably wont believe if u say that it'll be okay. You need to get them together with you and have them explain to eachother their feelings. if ur guy's best friend wants to have u even tho u dont like him, i'd say that he isnt worth having as a bf anyway. If u want to go out with ur guy, u have gotta convince him (with proof from his friend) that his friend's okay with u 2 goin out. if that doesnt help, find out which is the best kisser!!!!!(you know im kidding about that...right?...)

His best friend shouldn't be holding him back from having a relationship with you if you like each other. Tell this best friend that you don't like him but you like his friend. Just tell the truth.

If you like him and he likes you then yall should give it a chance. Just talk to him and tell his best friend that you don't like him. Just be honset. What could go wrong.
