p/s: now we have an adult at the beginning point , the opposite side we have an adult and two kids
then,

8)the kid on the opposite returns (75pounds)
ps: now we have two adults on the opposite side and two kids on the beginning point together with the boat

i got a total of 440 all together so...
that would be how many times 150 can go into 440...

Nine (9) times:
Children are A + B, 75 lbs. each
Adults are C + D, 145 lbs. each
First trip, both children go across (A + B) from Side 1 to Side 2 = 150 lbs.
Second trip, child A brings boat back from Side 2 to Side 1 = 75 lbs.
Third trip, Adult C crosses over from Side 1 to Side 2 = 145 lbs.
Fourth trip, child B brings boat back from Side 2 to Side 1 = 75 lbs.
Fifth trip, child A + child B cross over from Side 1 to Side 2 = 150 lbs.
Sixth trip, child A brings boat back from Side 2 to Side 1 = 75 lbs.
Seventh trip, Adult D travels over from Side 1 to Side 2 = 145 lbs.
Eighth trip, child B brings boat back from Side 2 to Side 1 =75 lbs.
Ninth trip, child A and child B make final trip from Side 1 to Side 2 = 150 lbs.
