I'm in my early 40's and have no wrinkles but I do have rather large pores (probably why i have no wrinks). What procedure helps to reduce the appearance of my pores and help my skin look brighter and even toned. Skin Peels? Dermabrasions? Lasers? Im looking to hear from people that have had these procedures done. Thank You,

As an aesthetician, A LOT of clients ask me what they can do to reduce the size of their pores. I am glad to see that you asked what procedure(s) could be done to 'reduce the appearance of' enlarged pores as pore size is mainly determined by genetics and you cannot "shrink" pores (dispite what skin care products claim). As a rule of thumb, if your pores are cleared out and free from excess oil and sebum, they will look smaller and a clean pore will not further get stretched out to a larger size. Microdermabrasion is good for starters to help exfoliate the top layer of skin. Some of my clients opt for a microdermabrasion/peel combo treatment as the micro can help exfoliate, and the stronger ingredients in the peel can penetrate the pores and work underneath the surface of the skin. I perform many of these treatments weekly as well as have them done on myself (I am 27 and mainly do these treatments as a preventative measure). The best thing to do is find an aesthetician in your area who is preferably working under the guidance of a physician (dermatologist, plastic surgeon, etc), that way you can have more intensive treatments and the products they use and recommend are pharmaceutical-grade (more corrective).

Natural Remedies for large pores
1) Add lemon juice and a little milk to oatmeal. Apply the paste and
remove after 20 minutes with water. Do not use if there are eruptions.

2) Mix table salt and buttermilk into a paste, apply on enlarged pores
and massage well. Rinse with warm water.

3) Mix almond meal with enough water to make a paste. Apply to pores for
20 minutes. Rinse with warm water, then apply with hazel or a solution
of apple cider vinegar and water.

Use a gentle cleanser. Oily skin doesn't need industrial- strength
cleansing to be shine- free.

Avoid soap, for it can cause rebound oiliness, and rob your skin of
its natural moisture.

Keep a toner and cotton handy for a quick pick-me-up in the middle of
the day.

interior the bathe I wash my face with St Ives apricot scented micro-scrubber, and at night i exploit Neutrogena zits wash utilized gently with a loofah. earlier i'm getting out of the bathe, and at night after rinsing each and all of the cleansing soap off, I turn the water ice chilly and splash it on my face some instances. I had to provide up using astringent via fact my face only made extra oil to maintain up, so now i exploit clean and clean's twin action moisturizer with salicylic acid. that is non-greasy and the zits drugs works as properly as astringent yet with out drying my epidermis out. even nonetheless, in case you experience such as you rather could extra tighten your pores, use an icecube only before moisturizing. i exploit Covergirl's Dream Matte Mousse, via fact liquid is only too greasy and powder has a tendency to look cakey and obvious; even the cream-to-powder variety. i might additionally sidestep powdering your nostril in the process the day, and save on with oil absorbing sheets; i like those from clean and clean superb.
