Yes most leases say the must be returned in its original condition. allowing for resonable wear and tear. in most areas when a car is resold the owner must report any damages . some people when asked say not to my knowledge.. bending the truth.

Well yea. it's thier car, your just renting it for a couple years. they will ask you when it comes time to turn it in anyway but it's just good business to keep them informed.
