before anyone starts attacking me saying im a satanist or something, witchcraft in the sense that i practice, is not about turning people into frogs, or causing havoc in someones life, in fact it is the complete opisite. the main rule of Wiccan is An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will...which means if it is going to hurt someone, dont do it! Its like any other religion, it has its rules, and just because im wearing a pentagram doesnt mean i am a satanist!

that said, yes i do practice witchcraft. in Wiccan (at least in my experiences, some people will tell you differantly) it is a form of prayer. i have trouble putting what i need into words, so i do a spell to help instead. for example, if i were moving somewhere, and wanted to make sure my stuff didnt break, i could do a protection spell. or, if i had a test coming up, i could do a spell to help me concentrate and get rid of distractions while i was studying. there are many websites you can read about it on, just be wary of any saying anything about revenge spells or things of that nature. there are also many books that can be found at barnes and noble, or other well known bookstores. the one in my town doesnt have anything because i live in a sort of conservative neighborhood, that is rather religious.

I am a Wiccan who is also a witch. I've been practicing (until I get it right?) witchcraft for the last 13 or so years.

Witchcraft 101 would go something like this, at least as I was taught: All things in the universe are interconnected by energy, which some witches (including Wiccans) perceive as Divine in nature. This is how witchcraft works: by focussing my intent, and using sympathetic correspondances (certain herbs for courage, for example), I can create an amulet using those herbs which will stimulate courage in the person who wears it. Similarly, by using a lock of hair from a person who is ill, I can (with their permission) set energies in motion that will help them to heal.

In this sense, witchcraft is a very mechanistic worldview. The entire universe is seen as a giant interconnected machine, and by applying one's will to exert pressure one area, one creates a cascade effect that causes change in another area.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to email me. I promise I won't try to convert you -- Wiccans aren't big on doing such things. In any case, I hope this answer helped. :-)

Well, everyone on this planet practices some form of Witchcraft. Making a wish over a birthday candle and then blowing it out is candle magick - people of certain religions hate to hear it, but it's true. And yeah, truth hurts.

I practice Witchcraft because it comes naturally to me. It connects me to my spiritual self and to the Supreme Being. I take it as a gift that I recognize, and I'm able to hone energies and use them to heal.

No, I do not. I am a Christian, but I do know a good bit about Wicca and witchcraft in general. There are some good books on it that are around if you are wanting to just learn more about it. Also, there are good sites that are run by pagans/wiccans that will give you good information.

I am a Celtic Pagan and a natural witch.

witchcraft is simply part of who i am.

when something troubles a Christian they pray.

when something troubles me i pray to my gods. and design spells to make it right, or as right as it can be. a spell really is much like a very focused prayer. it is more intricate and has many steps. but is pretty much the same.

i practice the craft because it works for me. it gives me a sense of belonging to something bigger than myself. and the belief in the celtic Gods gives me a belief in a peacful afterlife to look foreward to...after a few reincarnations.

I am Wiccan, if that's what you are asking, but I find many people (including many new Wiccans) are grossly misinformed about what that means.

Hey, it ain't like in Harry Potter. "Real" witches can't really do anything you can't do. Don't take my word for it, ask them.
