Hepatitis vaccinations are given in three parts, usually 3 months in between each one.A liver biopsy is not only to show hepatitis's,it can show deterioration due to other physiological changes r/t alcohol abuse or infection. If you have been having intimate relations and are concerned, then have a hepatitis test done. All it amounts to is a simple blood test.NOW anyone that has had the vaccination-it will show a false positive.I had the vaccination b/c as a LPN,I constantly am exposed to blood and body fluids. Now they give babies their first vaccination before they leave the hospital.Schools are now requiring students receive the series of hepatitis vaccinations.Vaccines are only given for certain hepatitis-mostly hepatitis B.Hepatitis A,C,and D,are usually contracted by physiological of alcohol or HIV,and by blood and body fluids such as urine, vomit, stools.Yes Hepatisis is contagious. But if he just recieved the vaccine b/c most doctors recommend it,then you can not get hepatisis from the vaccine he recieved.

If male and male have intimate relations then it is a higher percentage of aquiring hepatitis among other contagious diseases.Same sex partners should have physicals every year to protect themselves and their partners from diseses.

Unfortunatly couples these days are not honest about their history,so go get a check up just in case.

I believe the vaccine you are talking about is the Hepatitis B vaccine - it is normally administered in 3 parts.

No one gets a liver biopsy just for fun - he must have gotten it because his doctors suspected he had some kind of liver disease. People with liver disease are frequently immunized against Hepatitis B, since contracting hepatitis B may be especially harmful to someone with a pre-existing liver condition.

Lots of things can cause liver disease, including all the forms of hepatitis. Hepatitis B and C are both transmissable via sexual contact. There is no way of knowing what kind of liver disease your boyfriend has (or if he even has one).

Regardless, it doesn't sound like you have a good relationship since their are obvious trust issues. And you should be using barrier contraception (like a condom) when you're having sex anyway.

I had 3 different times to go to Public Health for all the Hep I could ever catch, because i had been raped, and didn't know the person. Your friend may be in the same spot, taking care of problems before they happen. Tell your friend you are worried about him and to be honest with you. If your friend has Hep C, you can catch it the same ways that you catch HIV. Blood, body fluids of any kind, can cause it to go from him to you, if he has this. Do not have sex with your friend, until you know for certain! THAT just may force your friend to tell the truth. Have only safe sex and find out if he has Hep C. It is really a lifetime thing, if you get it!

I had my hep vaccines in 3 parts. That's how it is given. The only way you are going to know if he has a disease (I think your talking about std's) is to get a blood test done. Why don't you both go and get one?
