Are we supposed to think it makes sense? As much as we ask about it trying for you to make it make sense, it absolutely doesn't. I just want to know, is it suppose to?
I mean, does it make perfect sense to you?, ALL of it? Really now?
Or are you supposed to abandon all reason and logic....because if that's the case, that's pretty much admitting it really doesn't make sense.
Just the story of God plopping us on a tiny planet to test souls of humans and this was the primary reason to create the universe and millions of other species makes no sense.--It sounds horridly egotistical and small.

You need to remember that the universe does not exist for people who believe the bible.

Among the many things that don't make sense in the bible, the sun, moon, planets, and stars are said to be lights embedded in the firmament, not real objects. This is why god could make the sun stop without worrying about such "scientific theories" as momentum.

According to the bible, Earth is more of an ant farm with a landscape painted on the glass than one planet among billions.

You just incorrectly oversimplified the great controversy. That is not the reason for our existence. No wonder it doesn't make sense. God's is overly merciful to us, and that doesn't make much sense, but that is not the same thing. If you want to really understand our cosmic struggle. I would recommend you read The Great Controversy by E.G. White. Check it out on Amazon or something. Hopefully that will help you make a little more sense out of it.

in case you have been a cop investigating an accident that had dissimilar witnesses, how might you get to the certainty? You interview the witnesses, you may discover the place the memories matched up. Say you had 4 witnesses who had components of the story yet by utilising and massive agreed to a great variety of the info. Then different witnesses that had memories with an analogous characters yet none of something corresponded to a minimum of one yet another, or the the 1st 4. in case you had to flow in the previous a decide and say that's what i think of got here approximately, what might you do? you likely might take the 4 memories and bypass over the others as having no substantiation. there could be letters and different memories that are submitted as evaluations with reference to the case yet you may want to seem at them interior the sunshine of the 1st 4 memories to decide on whether to admit them. in view that no one became around with a video recorder following Jesus, this became the approach used to stumble on one doctrine that could desire to be agreed on, as precise as achievable. human beings, even right this moment, attempt to characteristic their very own ideas to the story, decrease back then while there have been no residing witnesses it became worse, something had to be accomplished, it may desire to no longer be suitable, besides the incontrovertible fact that that's sensible below the situations.

Your looking at it in the wrong light. It's a story of how to show another love and compassion. If that's all you can get out of it then that's enough. You don't have to think of it as a test; that would be petty. I look to it for history and words of hope and I don't even consider myself Christian. Most physicists believe that a truly enlightened human could perform the miracles spoken of in the Bible.

That is the nice thing about it. Believers only have to say God can do anything. All things make sense to God.

It was never meant to make sense. It was meant to explain truth. God, whether we like it or not, created everything. He will not exist with sin. He loves humans. He provided a way for himself and humans to interact. He paid the penalty (which is death) for sin, Himself. He made it possible for us to associate with Him. Why in the world would He bother. It must be love.

It makes no sense. It's a selection of ancient middle eastern tales and legends invented by bronze age goat herders, playing to scare themselves at night around the camp fire.

No, of course it does not make sense to the non believer. That is why you are a non-believer. Only those people who have been priviledged to have a personal relationship with their Creator know how much sense it really makes. Sorry you are not one of us. Yes I am one of your "deluded' illogical Christians".

Cloe,

That is where faith comes in. Your tone on saying that we abandon all reason and logic is uncalled for. As Christians, we know that God made the universe and us
