We used to go and watch the gorillas a lot. One of them, a big male, looked and acted just like my ex-husband...I'm not kidding. Even the kids noticed it ("Hey, that one looks like Dad"). The more we watched that gorilla, the funnier it got. It was actually my son who told me that we are primates, great apes. I had to look it up because I didn't believe it, but there it was. They're amazing, especially their hands. They look so much like ours.

I live right by a zoo and just went there not too long ago.

When I walked up to the area with the large primates, I just stood there staring at them and thought "how can someone look at them and not believe in evolution? They look so similar to us."

I love the gorillas. I have a hard time not calling the adult female gorillas "women." I don't know why gorillas appeal to me more than chimps, but they do. At the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle, they have a glass wall with things the gorillas like nearby so they're encouraged to stay where we can watch them up close and personal. They just seem so majestic.

Little monkeys are cute and they seem so smart; the big red butts of the baboons creeps me out; gorillas have a tendency to eat their own poo, so thanks I'll stick to the cute little monkeys who hop around chittering.

I have high admiration for all animals, but no the primates don't inspire any unusual thoughts for me.

There was one time when I was about 14 that a gorilla at a zoo started starring at me. He became annoyed when others in the crowd got in front of me and he could not see me. I must of reminded him of someone. I hate zoos. I took my kids one time. They are horrible.

Some of the larger apes seemed very sad and bored.
While the monkeys (tailed) were engaged and seemed happier.

I thought they were very human like, especially females with a child.

This is kicking a dead horse, people did not come monkeys. This is dumb like the global warming religion. It is all nature worship. Humans will worship any and everything but the living God ( Jesus Christ )

"It's just so obvious that we're related to them - how could anyone doubt it?"
