no you do not have to graduate. this is what you have to do, being as this is what i did and still have a military career here is your answer. you need to be atleast 17 years old, a junior in high school. if you are a junior you would go to basic during the summer before your senior year then come home to finish school. after you graduate you would go to ait. now while you wher going to school and being with the national guard you will still have to attend drills one weekend a month. but there is your answer, take it from someone who did it and is in the military....

You should be able to join the reserves if you are a senior in high school you will have to get a letter from you school but they will do that and your transcripts. Contact your local National Guard or look up National Guard on the internet. You will probally not be active duty until you graduate high school. But i would contact them to find out for sure. And you will need your parents signatures if you are under 18.

You need to be at least on the path. My brother joined when he was a junior in high school and he graduates in May. Talk to someone in the National Guard or if you are really serious, talk to a recruiter. If you dropped out they can help you get your GED so you can join. It's called the Split Option. You can join when you're a junior and 17.
