I am doing the same thing. I am training to be a fitness competitor so I have lots of ideas for you! I didn't know anything when I first started. First off, go to sparkpeople.com. THIS IS A BIG HELP!!! It will ask you your weight and your target weight and then it will tell you based on your weight how many calories you need to take in and everything you need to know. Make sure you buy a george forman grill. thats what I cook my chicken on and its super fast. Don't eat carbs after 6!! Stay away from sugars! THEY ARE THE ENEMY! I eat every 2.5 to 3 hours a day. All healthy though.
Breakfeast: Special K bar, Raison Bagel with Light Cream Cheese.
Snack: Organic Raisins, sugar free apple sauce.
Lunch: Grilled Chicken, salad, or Low sodium Tuna Fish.
Snack: 4 Hard Boiled Eggs. (not the yolk!)
Dinner: Grilled Chicken, Grilled Fish, or low sodim tuna fish, a side of vegetables.
Snack: Sugar Free Apple Sauce, Organic Raisins.
Drink a bottle of water with every meal and snack!
This is my diet. I've been on it for about 3 weeks and already lost 10 pounds. It's so hard to stick to it so at the end of every week I treat my self with a desert. like cheese cake or something! I hope this has helped you. If you sign up for that web site the put me as a referrel. username: biloxi_blue88.
If you have any questions then email me! biloxi_blue88@yahoo.com! good luck to you! you can do it!

Number one, watch your food intake. You don't have a horrible amount to lose, so it shouldn't be that difficult. Lots of fresh fruits and veggies. Cut down on the sugary stuff and not so much bread. If you switch from regular soda to diet (or even better, no soda at all) you would be amazed at how much you can lose. Remember, if you crave something, have some. Just not a huge amount. If you want a piece of chocolate cake, have *** A *** small piece. Better yet, walk to the convenience store and get a Little Debbies singles pack. That way you get your sugar craving and a bit of exercise too!

Another tip. Walk walk walk. Walk around your neighborhood. Take a nice walk every night after dinner if you can. Park farther from the store entrance. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. During your lunch break (if you have one) after you eat (something healthy I hope) take a short walk.

Small changes like this can amount to HUGE weight loss.

Good luck!

=)

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Get started today!

There's a really helpful book called "You On a Diet". The author's last names are Rozen(sp?) and Oz.
It has to be gradual. First try to cut junk food like sweets and chips out of your life. Then go on to healthier foods.
For exercising first try maybe jogging once around the block everyday then gradually go to twice etc. Take the stairs instead of the elevator, while watching TV or doing paperwork stand instead of sit.

Exercise is key and healthy foods as well. You need to get on a good exercise routine including cardio and resistance workout. Walking and jogging are an easy to start. You need to determine what parts of your body you want to work on and set a plan. The cardio needs to be intense enough to burn the fat. If you want to read more, then here is a good article.
