Animals act on instinct not thought, religion tells us not to think for this is the way it is.

An animal accepts its world the way it is and doesn't contemplate why.

Animals don't fear death because to them it is not a concept they understand- they don't believe they will die.

Religious belief has supplanted the notion that we become worm food after death with the promise of an afterlife, thus taking away the fear of death and not having to come to grips with it.

Ironic that religion would fill a "gap" in somone's life by having them mentally regress to a "simpler" existance where everything just "is".

and the concept of a soul, because mankind can realize that we are not alone. we must invent a reason to put us above all others.

Animals put themselves above all others as well- but this is called instinct.

You know, working in the medical profession, I have been at the deathbed of many a Christian and non-Christian alike. Ironically enough, it seems to be the Christians who go kicking and screaming. Animals simply accept their fate. But animals deal in every-day reality. Humans have a hyper active imagination. They invent concepts like Heaven and Hell and then believe in them to the point where they make themselves hysterical. Just because they "imagined" a place like hell for bad guys, doesn't mean it is actually a real place.

No religion does not make you an animal. Instead it brings out the human in you. Religion is for a purpose. Religion came in this world to bring peace and harmony to the world. Religion is supposed to bring tolerance and respect for everyone. Ironically, this is not what is going on in the world. However, let me tell all religious people regardless of what religon they are the ones at peace. They have so much confidence in fate. They are modest. This is my personal experience talking also. Relgion made me the better person I am. I have realized that life without religion is crazy.

I can tell, you have never read a Bible. I can tell you something, if you will really try it. I know you want to understand about the Bible or you would not be here asking.

I will answer your question, but please after words find a Bible and read it. That is how I got started. you may find at first that you do not understand what it means. but as time passes you will start thinking about what it said, you will then began to understand a little at a time. but at night when you are in bed and it is very quiet, would really be the best time to read it. here is your answer.

God says, animals were put here on this earth for tools of man, and his needs to use as food, cloths, medicine, and to help with hard labor.

The reason animals do not fear death is because they do not think about it. But do not say animals do not know they are going to die. many animals have burial grounds. If an Elephant is hurt bad, they will walk miles just to get to their burial place, when they get there, they will lay down and wait to die. that kind of makes you wander, RIGHT. see animals are not afraid of death.

"Why" well people are not sure why, but my answer is I, believe they know of God and they know what should be will be. because God says it will be, so they are not afraid. because God told them not to worry.

And your, having to come to grips with it. that you will just be worm food. You just do not get it, do you? you just see what is around you and what is dead on the Ground in front of you. you do not see past that fact. And about people mentally, facing death.

You have to see the truth. A body decays for a reason. God, made the Body of Man from dirt. And he says at death, they will return to dirt. ( have you ever heard of dust to dust) and that all things are not as you see them. for all things of this earth will no longer be. for all will decay for all was made from dust. only one thing of this Earth will always be. and that is the sole of Man. which will forever be. because a sole will never die.

I have heard this many times. but I think you should hear this, because it may get you thinking.

A man once said, as he got old, I am glad, for I have believed in God. Because I would rather spend my life believing in God and go to Heaven. instead of not believing in God. and finding out when it was too late to try believing in Him.

So, Believe in what you want, but if you do not believe in God, Then why are you here asking these questions? that does not make much since to me because. if all you have is this one little short life. WHY ARE YOU HERE WASTING WHAT LITTLE LIFE YOU HAVE!!! GET OUT THERE AND LIVE IT UP. BUT YOU WANT TO SPEND YOUR TIME ASKING PEOPLE ABOUT something you do not believe in...........???????

Brother this is what you need to Believe!!!

The Spirit of Animals is in everyone if one only know where to LOOK!!! Here's Why!!!

Each morning upon rising, and each evening before sleeping, gives thanks for the life within you and for all life, for the good things the Creator has given you and for the opportunity to grow a little more each day. Consider your thoughts and actions of the past day and seek for the courage and strength to be a better person. Seek for the things that will benefit others (everyone).

2. Respect. Respect means "To feel or show honor or esteem for someone or something; to consider the well being of, or to treat someone or something with deference or courtesy". Showing respect is a basic law of life.

3. Once a council has decided something in unity, respect demands that no one speak secretly against what has been decided. If the council has made an error, that error will become apparent to everyone in its own time.

4. Be truthful at all times, and under all conditions.

5. Always treat your guests with honor and consideration. Give of your best food, your best blankets, the best part of your house, and your best service to your guests.

6. The hurt of one is the hurt of all; the honor of one is the honor of all.

7. Receive strangers and outsiders with a loving heart and as members of the human family.

8. All the races and tribes in the world are like the different colored flowers of one meadow. All are beautiful. As children of the Creator they must all be respected.

9. To serve others, to be of some use to family, community, nation, and the world is one of the main purposes for which human beings have been created. Do not fill yourself with your own affairs and forget you’re most important talks. True happiness comes only to those who dedicate their lives to the service of others.

10. Observe moderation and balance in all things.

11. Know those things that lead to your well-being and those things that lead to your destruction.

12. Listen to and follow the guidance given to your heart. Expect guidance to come in many forms; in prayer, in dreams, in times of quiet solitude, and in the words and deeds of wise Elders and friends

Wahoo!!!

No, it makes us closer to the spirit of Jesus, since his spirit works through us when we let go of our selves and let him work through us.
We all fear death, weather or not we are or are not christian, we fear leaving our children behind, we fear pain, we fear the process to the way to reach god when we go.
Sure our bodies die, but it's our spirits that go on, not even Christianity can take all the fear away, but it sure helps.

It makes people think like children. We should all leave behind such fairy tales when we grow up.

A.C: Yes, we are intelligent apes, you're right. The only reason I can think of that people wouldn't want to accept this fact is monumental arrogance. Religion seems to be all about ego. Atheism means accepting our true place in the universe, accepting reality.

I think animas are much more in tune with their instincts and Nature (that which is real what surrounds them). Religion makes us fear and deny our very nature. Religion takes away our humaness and makes us blind robots...

Religion will get you killed. Instead you should develop a relationship with the Father through the love of His Son Jesus. Make God your Father and you be His child.
Relationship, not religion.

2 Peter 2:12-15
12 But these, like unreasoning animals, born as creatures of instinct to be captured and killed, reviling where they have no knowledge, will in the destruction of those creatures also be destroyed,
13 suffering wrong as the wages of doing wrong. They count it a pleasure to revel in the daytime. They are stains and blemishes, reveling in their deceptions, as they carouse with you,
14 having eyes full of adultery that never cease from sin, enticing unstable souls, having a heart trained in greed, accursed children;
15 forsaking the right way, they have gone astray, having followed the way of Balaam, the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;

Jude 1:10-13
10 But these men revile the things which they do not understand; and the things which they know by instinct, like unreasoning animals, by these things they are destroyed.
11 Woe to them! For they have gone the way of Cain, and for pay they have rushed headlong into the error of Balaam, and perished in the rebellion of Korah.
12 These are the men who are hidden reefs in your love feasts when they feast with you without fear, caring for themselves; clouds without water, carried along by winds; autumn trees without fruit, doubly dead, uprooted;
13 wild waves of the sea, casting up their own shame like foam; wandering stars, for whom the black darkness has been reserved forever.

But you are no different.
Romans 3:23
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Romans 3:9
What then? Are we better than they? Not at all; for we have already charged that both Jews and Greeks are all under sin;

Galatians 3:22
But the Scripture has shut up everyone under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

Isaiah 53:6
All of us like sheep have gone astray,
Each of us has turned to his own way;
But the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all
To fall on Him.

But you have wuit reading by now, knowing that you really are a sinner.

Evolution does more so than religion. It makes people LITERALLY animals, as in we are nothing more than intelligent apes.
"The FOOL says in his heart, there is no GOD." You don't know there is no God for sure, and neither do I know he exists for sure. I have faith, you don't, but I know better than to believe in an absolute negative, which can't be proven.
