Well first of all husky's are cold climate dogs and he is probably just too warm inside especially if you have any type of heat other than wood. Second if his nose is cracked it could be a few things either from him being inside where the heat is too drying for him or he could have just a plain old cold (this could be true if his nose isn't moist at all), it could be from him being outside depending upon the climate or he could have gotten in a fight all of which are no big deal. If he is drinking plenty of water, eating and acting normal I wouldn't worry about it. And as for the outside thing they like to be where it is cool and he probably has his thick winter coat on!

Hunsky's are a cold weather dogs. It may just be that's it too warm in your home for him. Also if he is an unaltered male he is protecting his territory-your yard.
His nose is getting cracked because of the winter weather but it must be treated by a vet. Same for his eyes, so get him in to the vets as soon as you can. Your dogs nose is pink because he's got what's called winter nose. Some not all dogs with very black noses will have their noses turn a bit to almost all pink. HE should have his black nose back by the summer.

He's just probably been outside in the cold too long, because it sounds like he has frostbites. You should have your vet check it out. I know that mixture of Vitamin A and Vitamin D drops help with cracked and pink nose. It happens often that dogs start loosing a little bit of a pigment on their noses in time, so it becomes pink. But have it checked by your vet, just in case it's something more serious ( which I hope it isn't ).

The wanting to be outside in the winter time is very normal for a husky. The crack in the nose is for him licking it raw normal also. But it usually won't heal if he's keeps at it and he will animals lick there wounds. The pink around the eyes is a vet visit and the nose but you can't keep a husky out of the cold. They love it outside we keep ours out when it got -10 degrees or less they slept in the basement and let me tell you we had to go get them from outside. They don't want to come in from the cold ever.

He's a husky, they are usually outdoor dogs and definitely are built for the outdoors especially during the winter. It sounds like his nose has been sunburned and dehydrated a bit, make sure there is plenty of water available, and if it doesn't resolve have a vet check it and his eyes, that could be schleral hemmorage. They can get sunburned even during winter. It is too hot inside for a dog with a double layered coat which is what a husky has during winter time. Make sure he has shade and it may resolve.

husky's love it outside. they are built for cold weather. his pink nose is what is called winter nose. it loses the pigment because of the shortened daylight hours. (lack of sun). it may be cracked because of dryness. unfortunately anything you put on it he will lick off. i don't know about the eye rims. if he's acting normal, i wouldn't seem too concerned. but since spring is approaching, i would look for things to improve with his nose. if there is no discharge or signs of infection in the eyes or nose, he's most likely fine. as the days get longer and he's exposed to more sunlight the color should return.
but, if you are truley concerned, then take him for a check up. if it's close to the time for his shots, go ahead. and remember to get the heartworm test and get him on heartguard. if he's outside, he's at very high risk for it over the summer. mosquitoes transmit heartworms. so start the prevention now, and continue it !!!

It's probably too hot for him inside - they're built to be outside dogs in extreame climates. Take him to a vet about the cracked nose though - he should be able to withstand the cold and these problems sound abnormal.

i would say that his shelter is not good enough for him and that he is eating snow or something to keep the hide worn off his nose as long as he is not in pain try putting a save on his nose and giving him fresh water sevral times a day or get him a heated water dish.

perchance she misses somebody or something. If no longer take her to a vet ask her approximately what to feed her or what to do, ask if the vet has prescriptions for Siberian puppies or different canines who do no longer do something. your human beings, Crystal & Caitlyn
